Bullying is a serious problem affecting millions of children every year. It is not
limited to race, gender, or educational level. It is not a phase, right of passage,
or joke. Kids who are bullied experience real pain and suffering. This can interfere
with their social and emotional development, as well as their school performance.
The STOP Bullying Show, presented by Mr. Mike (aka Mike Weakley), raises the awareness
of bullying, and teaches young people what they can do to put a STOP to it.
An estimated 30% of all students - or 5.7 million children - are involved in bullying
as either a bully, a target of a bully, or both.
Bullied children are more likely to develop depression, use drugs & alcohol, and
drop out of school.
160,000 children stay home from school every day due to bullying.
